SJP Entertainments Terms and Conditions
​
General
​
1. SJP Entertainments – Steven Patterson – is covered with public liability insurance and available on request.
2. SJP Entertainments – Steven Patterson and Amber Boyden – are both DBS checked and certificates available on request.
3. All electrical equipment is brand new, and/or PAT tested to comply with health and
safety regulations.
4. In case of an emergency, at least one other adult must be present at all times in the room where the event is taking place.
5. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the event venue and room that is booked is a safe environment for such an event – for example in date fire extinguishers, fire notices and signs in situ.
6. SJP Entertainments reserves the right to cancel an event upon arrival should they deem the venue or area unsuitable or unsafe.
7. SJP Entertainments accepts no responsibility for any damage to venues. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure children or adults do not damage or deface the venue during an SJP Entertainments event.

Payments and Bookings
​
1. All bookings are subject to availability.
2. A booking is only confirmed upon receipt of a completed booking form and a non-refundable booking fee received via BACS. Booking will be confirmed typically by email. A booking without one or both of the aforementioned is only classed as a provisional booking and can be replaced with a confirmed booking with no notice.
3. All booking payments are non-refundable. Booking fee is £50.00 unless otherwise stated at the time of booking. For non-regular contracted events such as pubs and clubs etc, payment would normally be requested in advance. In the unlikely circumstance that we are unable to fulfil your booking due to a fault of our own, you will be subject to a full refund.
4. The balance of any SJP Entertainments event is due on the day of the event or in the week of the event.
5. SJP Entertainments reserves the right to request full payment in advance of the date of the booking.

Cancellations and Payments
​
1. Any cancellation made within 7 days prior to the date of the booking will require a payment of the balance in full.
2. Any cancellation made within 14 days prior to the date of the booking will require a payment of 50% of the balance.
3. Any cancellation made more than 14 days prior to the date of the booking will require no payment of the remaining balance but will forfeit their deposit payment.
4. If cancellation is required, at the discretion of SJP Entertainments and the customer, deposits may be held and moved to a new date free of charge, subject to availability.
5. Failure to meet points 3. and 4. in the ‘Payments and Booking’ section will incur an additional charge of a discretional 5% of the total amount per day for every subsequent day where payment is not made. For example, if the total cost of an event was £100 due on a Saturday, on Sunday it would be £105, Monday would be £110 and so on.
Miscellaneous

1. Entertainer arrival time – we aim to arrive to your event a minimum of 30 minutes prior to your event start time, however we will best endeavour to arrive approximately 1 hour prior to your event start time.
2. For any additional set up needs for example lighting upgrades, we will need a minimum of 1 hour to set up prior to your event start time. Please note that this will be advised at time of booking.
3. In the unlikely event that your entertainer is running late and you haven’t been contacted directly by them, please call us as soon as possible on 07713 125023 or 07572 586136.
4. In the case of outdoor events, for safety reasons we are unable to use our electrical equipment outside in wet weather. If your event is due to take place outside, please ensure that you have a wet weather contingency plan which must also meet any hse
requirements.
5. Attending every event is our priority, regardless of weather conditions. However in the event of snow, flooding or any other hazardous weather, we may have no alternative but to cancel your event. In this unlikely occurrence, we will work with you
to rearrange your event free of charge, subject to availability.
6. If your event has opted for a strobe lighting upgrade, please be aware that strobe lighting can trigger an epileptic seizure. If you or any of your event guests have epilepsy, please notify us in advance and make your host/entertainer aware on the
day.
7. At any sporting event, your coach will take every reasonable precaution to ensure a safe and fun environment. However, due to the nature of these events there may be some minor physical contact.
8. If your event has opted for a UV lighting upgrade, we recommend either white, neon or fluorescent clothing and your venue to be as dark as possible. Please also note that the UV liquid inside glow sticks and in UV face paint can stain clothing.
9. There must be sufficient provision of one parking spot for each event as close to the venue as possible and if not this must be notified in advance due to the amount of equipment for access and egress.
